For Christmas I bought myself a drill for popping up and down. DH got me a new water filter for the fresh water hose for the PU, a new set of battery wires for a Coleman/Fleetwood PU, 2 tubs of hitch lube (the last one lasted 5 years) and a set of fog lights to be used as backup lights for the PU. DSon gave me a Lexan water bottle. My DSister gave me a thing of butane and a butane lighter. Sure does seem like a camping Christmas at my house. :XMas
Nope nothing for the pop up , but DH did get me a great smelling Yankee Candle called autumn Lodge... This smells a bit like camping!!
My mom got a new coffee maker.I asked her what she
was going to do with the old one.She said get rid of it.
I asked her if I could have it for the pop up.Both
my mom and dad smiled ,said Merry Christmas and
handed the old coffee maker to me!
My brother gave DH and I two "Mac Sports" armchair/recliners from camping world and a fan/light from Wally world. I gave my DH two lantern cases for his propane lanterns. I gave my brother a "Texas Parks and Wildlife -State Parks & Campgrounds" book and a one year gift subscription to "Pop Up Times" and "Camping life" magazines.
Can't wait to try out our new chairs on the next trip! It was a camping christmas! :XMas
Yes, we got a 15 gallon Barker Gray water tote from the in-laws. We had been wanting one, but as we all know they cost a chunk of change.
They also got one of those portable fireplaces, that are generally used on patios, etc. MIL thinks we will tote it everywhere we camp. NOT! We told her there were fire rings everywhere, but my MIL wants to buy us ANYTHING that has the word/s "camp/camping/camper" on it. We will use it on the patio, for sure, though!

Nothing for camping this year but plenty to enable DH to do mods ;) . Is giving a guy tools the same as giving us gals appliances though??? I really hesitated even knowing how badly he wanted that router. I got a breadmaker (given to me a week ahead since he read somewhere that appliances weren't appropriate gifts for the wife even if she asks for it and that was all I had really requested this year) and a wireless desktop I guess that could be considered camping though since I'll use it plenty to log on here :p . The breadmaker could go camping but its a pain so I'll make bread before we leave and freeze to take with us.
Giving guys tools is not like giving wives appliances. Tools are cool. If we don't need the tool right now, we might... someday. :=)

Santa brought a Dell laptop to the family..
I think it is for camping..
I am using now!!!
Hey Dude I got a DELL.......
I also got a new 6qt cast iron dutch oven.. I am going to season it this weekend on the grill.
The wife said I needed a new larger one....
What a gal !!!

Well, the popup didn't get anything but this camping gal got some casual camping clothes. Does that count? Maybe I'll save the pasta pots I got and use in the new camper and tow vehicle I'll be looking for in the Spring. I think the neat little makeup case with carry handle was meant for taking on camping trips, too.
Oddly enough we did! The kids gave me a set of six solar powered path lights, as they heard me talking about getting some to take camping. I figured they could be very useful in lighting the drive of a dark campsite, I stayed in a couple of places this year that I really could have used them.
And Cindy gave me a Toaster oven for the trailer. I've got the 3 burner range and a microwave in there, but nothing to toast or bake with since I didn't order a conventional oven for the Hybrid.
I also got a Cordless Optical Mouse which I suppose could be used with the laptop when camping, but calling that a piece of camping equippment is really a stretch!!!
I don't know if this counts but DD and DH got me a digital camera. It was a BIG SURPRISE! Once I figure out how, now I can post pictures of our camping trips!
Can't wait to camp again,
Tena

NO! Tools are always acceptable.
I can think of a few mods that a router can help with :D
Just before Christmas, we had the PU in for complete maintenance.. Had the list system adjusted, the bearings repacked, etc...
Now, its just the waiting for time to go camping...
We got a BAL leveler for those wobbly campsites!
It's a stretch, but CD's to keep the kids quiet in the backseat on their portable CD players, and one for us up front so we can drown out any loud music escaping their headphones!:M
No really 'camping specific' things...but we each got a couple of new games we will take camping...and I got a new watch that I'm sure is telling me it's TIME to go camping! LOL
We've had a couple of really mild days here and I'm really having camping withdrawals. I got a stack of new books...I'm ready for some relaxing camping days to just read.
I got my new oven. FoxHill Double Oven (http://www.foxhill.net/double.html), a new DVD player that plays my JPEG files, and a new Camera, which isn't here yet. Maybe this week.
Now I can burn pictures onto CD's and play them on the TV, then take more![/FONT]
We got a new Bantam Hybrid:XMas
I got one of the Coleman drip coffee makers and a ac/dc dvd/tv combo for the pu and tv.

Let me know how the oven works after you use it. I am looking for an oven that is better than the folding Coleman Oven. :)
I played with it a little on the elec. stove, Seems to work, I talked to the guy that builds these, and he said the thermoter was good too. So we'll see. it's smaller than the Coleman (when the coleman is unfloded) and holds 2 pans. Should work great. There are no holes for any heat to escape. All i need is for the time to pass, so I can go Campin'.

What?!?!?
Not really a new item for the PU but I got a new single lid aluminum tool box for the TV, to haul camping supplies in.
On the 5th day after Christmas, my true love gave to me: a roof top A/C
I got a good flashlight.
I got a Prodigy for the TV.................waited a long time for that! There is a Santa Claus!

You're starting to scare me........
We both grew up in a military lifestyle in mostly the same places
You have a Viking Camper you are selling (sold mine)
You moved out of the popups
You got a Dell Laptop (me too dude)
Now you need the software and gps unit that I use on my laptop while driving. It is mapping software with GPS tracking. It tracks you on the screen as you drive.
Check it out here
http://www.delorme.com/earthmate/configlaptop_info.asp When I went to Wisconsin to get my hybrid I missed my turn in Chicago and ended up off the highway and in town. I zoomed it in real close (voice activated) and could see exactly where to turn to get back on track.
Great software if you have a laptop, your own navigation system in your vehicle.
FYI: I got the Inspiron 5150 a few months back
3.06Ghz processor
1Gb Ram (I added, Dell too expensive)
UXGA Screen
64mb Video card
Don't even touch my desktop anymore
