Title: Who Is Your Favorite Camping Buddy?
Post by: Dayton Dave on Jan 07, 2004, 12:38 PM
I have my favorite Camping Buddy.  His name is Archie.  He is a mix between an Australian Shepard and a Cocker Spaniel.  His hair never stops growing.  In the winter he looks like a little fat black bear and he loves the snow.  In the summer when we get him clipped, he looks like a fat little black Lab puppy.  Although he is about 8 years old, he acts like a puppy and most people think he is still a puppy.  When we open the camper, he wants in and is ready to go.

So... Who is your camping Buddy?

I couldn't possibly pick just one ~ it wouldn't be fair to the other three!

I don't have a camping critter, but I do have four beautiful kids that I camp with ~
ages 4 to 9.5.
Can't imagine camping in the PU without them!
:D  :)  :)  :)  :)

My DH.  He is also kinda rolly-polly and loves to have his tummy scratched.  When I open the camper, he is the last one in however because his job is to set up the outside bits.  :D

My three dear daughters, ages 3, 5, 10.  The 3 and 10 year old really enjoy it, but the 5 year old has a few problems with it and when she gets older I think she will not want to go.

My wife, of course.

However, since we adopted, makes the choice tougher now.

Hmmm...

My camping buddies are my little boy & girl.  I am blessed that they love camping as much as I do.  We often pop the camper up at home to camp in the driveway when we cannot travel.

Here are some pictures of them

It came from a story when I was doing Inner City Ministry a few years ago. I was riding a bus with kids 12 and under from the Inner City. I was talking with several of them and I asked how many people live in each of their houses. After various and sundry answers, I finally asked another little boy how many lived in his home.

He answered, (in your best Inner city voice/accent), "Foh! Me, my momma, her bo-frinn, and da bug dat live on dah toilet seat!"

Title: Looking for a camping buddy?
Post by: 2manytoyz on Jan 09, 2004, 05:41 PM
A neighbor is looking for a good home for their cat. It's really
lovable and friendly, but his wife said the cat makes her nervous when
it stares at her. She wants it out of the house.

If you know of anyone let me know. Maybe you could take him as a camping buddy.... (Picture attached.)

My boss has some amusing ones like that from her teaching experience in the Baltimore (Baltimer) City schools and from New Jersey inner city schools.  I can't do them like her (she's a hoot when she's doing them).

*toyz - Are you creating these?  They are great.  I have fowarded the cat, and received outstanding reviews.  Keep up the good work.  LMAO  Although, I am curious as to who the genetic doners are.....

I'm an artist in my own rights, but this isn't my doing.  We get a number of funny e-mails at work, these pics came from messages about a year apart.  Thought they were funny and disturbing enough to keep!

At a sons-to-work day, a coworker's kiddo and I teased each other constantly.  That night, he son drew a nasty cartoon of me sitting on a toilet, you get the idea.  Oh, it was payback time!  The coworker's son and daughter were both in a dance class, and "dad" provided me with the photo.  With the magic of photo shop, the son was now wearing his sister's purple tutu.  The sister was removed from the photo.  The 8x10 glossy photo was presented the next night.  Boy was he stunned.  We keep that photo in the shop as an example.  Glad his son didn't get mad as that was a few years ago.  The "boy" is now 6'4", and about 250 lbs.  I still threaten to show it to his friends.

Without doubt mt camping buddy is my DS. Even though he is 17 he is still up for a camping trip with dad! Dosen't matter when or where all I have to do is hook up the PU and he is there! best thing about his company is that he can now help share the driving on the longer trips  ;)
