Title: can anyone help me find that "drunk" recipe
Post by: MommaMia on Feb 19, 2004, 10:56 PM
I'm looking for that silly "recipe" where the cook gets drunk tasting the alchohlic beverages that go into making the meal.

There was one posted last year, but not sure if it was before or after the new board.  If it was before, I'm not sure if you will be able to find it.

Could it be this one Cindy?

Here's a great new holiday tradition!

Christmas Cookie:
1 cup of water
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup of brown sugar
lemon juice
4 large eggs
1 cup nuts
2 cups of dried fruit
1 bottle Jose Cuervo Tequilla

Sample the Cuervo to check quality.  Take a large bowl, check the Cuervo again to be sure it is of the highest quality, pour one level cup and drink.

Turn on the electric mixer...Beat one cup of butter in a large fluffy bowl

Add one teaspoon of sugar...Beat again.  At this point it's best to make sure the Cuervo is still OK, try another cup ... just in case.  Turn off the mixerer thingy.  Break 2 leggs and add to the bowl and chuck in the cup of dried fruit.

Pick the frigging fruit off floor... Mix on the turner.  If the fried druit gets stuck in the beaterers just pry it loose with a drewscriver.  Sample the Cuervo to check for tonsisticity.

Next, sift two cups of salt, or something.  Who giveshz a sheet.  Check the Jose Cuervo.  Now shift the lemon juice and strain your nuts.

Add one table.  Add a spoon of sugar, or somefink.  Whatever you can find.

Greash the oven.  Turn the cake tin 360 degrees and try not to fall over.

Don't forget to beat off the turner.  Finally, throw the bowl through the window, finish the Cose Juervo and make sure to put the stove in the dishwasher.

Excuse me, but, if you are having, ehem, drinking problems, ehem, Could I  be informed of them ? As having stated that I admire your financial geniusness in another thread, I have a right to know, how much of that "Cuervo" had to do with with your answer, as I it will certainly increase/decrease my admiration for your financial whizziness depending on the amount of "Cuervo"
in your blood stream  :J

Yes.... "whizziness" and excess Cuervo go hand in hand.  Actually, whizziness and ANY alchoholic beverage goes hand in hand, for me at least! :J

Cindy, next time someone (like Birol)  falsely accuses you of drinking on the job, just respond (with offended dignity of course) :

I yam not as intoxilooted as some thinkle peep I yam."

and that should shut your critics up in a hurry. :J

At the very least they'll fall down and die laughing.  Then they'll be pretty quiet!

Be careful not to go out on the road when using wine to flambe certain dishes, cause the odor can get into one's clothes causing the cops to think they smell someone who's been drinking.

Thet cood mek fur ummmm teek it.
