We opened the PU yesterday to find a lot of black mold. I called several dealers and got a few different suggestions. The one said that Jayco recommends Lysol (the kind you mix with water), so I called Jayco - he said they recommend Oxy Clean. But, that they have found nothing that will get the stains out of the canvas.
What I found interesting was that he also said to go on-line and find a forum, and ask there. He said they seem to have good solutions...
SO, that leads me to my question... Has anyone found anything that get's the mold and the stains out of the canvas???
Any help would be appreciated.... We left it popped up, of course it's raining right now!
Thanks,
Zooey

InstaGone for Mold & Mildew (http://www.popuptimes.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=insta&Category_Code=)
I'll second the vote for the Instagone!
That is some awesome stuff. Spray it on, give it a few minutes. Hose it off. Mold/mildew is GONE.
I just ordered some. Thanks for your help!
I'll post my results!

Is this "stuff " good to use on canvas cotton tenting, or only vinyl tenting?
Hoppy
According to the label:
"...InstaGone is an oxidizing agent and will cause staining and bleaching on clothing, cloth fabrics, carpet, drapes and furniture if not covered properly...."
I would (and will) try an inconspicuous (or scrap) spot first. I used it on my awning, which looked terrible prior to the application. Cleaned it up rather nicely. (It's vinyl.)
I'll know more next time I'm in a cleaning mood. Then I'll post the results here. Or in the review section...

I have heard that some cleaning products will harm the waterproofing on the canvas. Does Instagone affect that?
I'm just getting ready to clean the mold stains off of our pu.
If you want to kill mold you need something with bleach in it. That is why you should be careful with any of these cleaners. But sometimes you got to do what you got to do. :(
