Answer: Activate your brake controller by hand to slow the trailer's speed. Under no circumstances apply the vehicle's brakes. The trailer is swaying because it is going faster than the tow vehicle. Slowing the tow vehicle only increases the sway.

I'd love to know what he was towing.
It seems nearly every picture I see of a camper wreck, the camper is either very old or demolished beyond all recognition.
They obviously don't crash test these things.

After so many days, the link to the article may not work. I'd also love to know what he was towing but it looks like it was some kind of travel trailer. I betcha they won't be camping for quite some time, if ever again. :(
