Title: So, speaking of music...
Post by: David Roder on May 01, 2004, 11:28 AM
Just wondering if anyone has installed an acutual sound system of any kind in thier pu?  I have a little stereo I bring along and plug it in or use batteries but I would like to put in an acutal sound system.  Just wondering if it's been done and possible is it to do?

It has been done and it is very possible.  Copcarguy has done it, twice I think. :)

But when you sell the PU the sound system goes too !

My ideal thought is to carry a laptop with a USB TV tuner and a pair of decent speakers. can listen to music, watch dvd's or tv in one box ! If I ever get the money that is where the money is going (After the PU that is).

We have  that natural surround sound for the tv........

When we watch Tv at a campground we hear all the sounds  of nature around us:)

The only sound system we had was a portable radio which we rarely ever used, but the real sound system was camping at bluegrass festivals with the campground pickin or stage pickin coming through the popup. :D

I have the Delphi XM boombox! It can plug into AC or run on batteries. I love my XM radio in my car so much, I just had to have it in the PU too!

You could install a car stereo and car speakers, but car speakers generally sound best in a car, not necessarily so in a larger area. I think portable is the way to go...don't spend a lot of time listening to music in the PU anyway.
