5/17/04 - The length of the camping season will be reduced. It begins the first Friday in May ends the last Sunday in September.

I just called to ask about this and they have no idea what I'm talking about.  I already have reservations for October!!

I wondered about that too.  I have reservations for Columbus day weekend in October.  I am guessing that the early closing of the campground is only for one park, but the name was not listed. :(

Oh great, we have reservations at three of those SP's this summer. :(

What a shame too, because PA seems to really care about their SP's...

Oddly enough I received notice today about the Pennsylvania RV & Camping show (if you ask me way too early for the notice) which is scheduled for Sept 7th & 8th (for trade/industry days) and 9th, 10th, & 11th open for the public....

If you are planning on getting a hotel room or camp site in the area you need to know the dates early so that you can get a room/site.  This show is the biggest in the country and spaces fill up fast.  If you have never been to the show you can't appreciate how many people attend. :)

Is this the Harrisburg show? If so, you're right; that is a HUGE show. We went last year, and 8 hours wasn't enough time.
