Title: Sam's Club gas prices
Post by: NCSunshine on Jun 05, 2004, 11:58 PM
We have a Sam's Club (the one associated with Wal-Mart, not Good Sam) that has gas pumps.  With a club membership, you get a 5 cent discount.  Last Wednesday, that meant from 1.94 down to 1.89.  Has anyone else used this?  Am I the last one to know??

We have been buying gas at Sam's Club for several years now and they are always five or six cents a gal cheaper...We live close to the South Carolina line so we often fill up there too...South Carolina's road tax is .05 cents per gal less than North Carolina, so gas is usually about .10 to .12 cents cheaper there.....Gas prices dropped .05 cents here Friday...........

It's pretty sad when ya gotta consider $1.89/gallon a good deal!!! But, what ever we can skim off the price of a gallon helps... *sigh*

Boy it is sad to know that I am so behind times, and could have been doing this for years.  That just proves that I am crazier than I thought.

In my city, Wal-Mart gas is actually less expensive than Sam's.  Right now, with the 3 cent discount, you can get it for $1.73 a gallon.  Sam's is at about $1.76, but I know in some areas Sam's is less expensive than anywhere else.

I'm jealous, Around here (upstate NY) the BJ's and Sam's price is $2.08 and the regular stations run $2.12 to $2.15   I filled up this afternoon. So the pricing is current.

I have use Sam's, Costco and Wal-Mart gas when we travel, but we don't have any close by.  :(

From Friday to Saturday gas dropped 10 cents a gallon here.  It was  $1.99.9 now it is $1.89.9.  It is just our local stations that dropped.  We were camping and drove over 100 miles on Sunday and it was over $2 a gallon at some stations.

We just filled up at our Sam's/Wal-Mart pump yesterday. Regular price was $2.17 with the Sam's card it cost us $2.12. That is good for our prices here in AZ.

I am seeing alot of people driving around in this area with their car windows down.....A sure sign that they are trying to conserve high priced gasoline by not running their air conditioners and getting better milage....It does make a difference......

I think running the car with open windows kills its aerodynamic structure and costs more (in gas) than running the AC ..... I can't stand the noise of open windows ......
