Title: Finally is water proof !
Post by: birol on Jun 25, 2004, 06:45 AM
It rained pretty good last night ! And Finally proved itself water worthy :) Or is that inclement weather worthy ? No water inside the canvas anywhere to be seen, not at bunkends. I saw a very slightly damp are on teh roof (side). That could be humnidity though as it was shut tight. I could not see water drops or water, just felt damp against my hand.

Victory is mine !!!!!

It sure is satisfactory to see that one week of patching up and sewing is holding up Today is a rest day as I have to do the papers till Sunday morning .... Monday is Propane connection day, followed with a check of shoer power connection ! I want to make sure that when I plug it in, nothing is going to start burning :)

The moisture inside could still be a leak, I'd check the top in the area in question, and have a tube of caulking at the ready. One thing I found on my 1978 Starcraft, the top had what looked like little black specks all over the roof. Upon cleaning attempt, I discovered they were really hundreds of tiny little holes. I must have used an entire tube of caulking one drop at a time to seal that roof!!! I'd just put a drop on the tip of my finger, and just start filling those tiny little holes!
