I did my good deed for the day!
I was on one of my runs today, and came down the off-ramp by the Norfolk Ship Yard, and spotted three trucks with TT's on the side of the road at the end of the ramp. The three drivers were all standing by one of the trucks, map in hand, and looking very lost!
Since they were now in the Berkley section of Norfolk, a place where crack dealers & thugs abound, I figured it would be best to try and help them out. So I pulled to the right and while blocking the far right lane (3 lanes wide) proceeded to grill them on their problem and help them on their way. However, they were totally lost, had got into the wrong lane going over the Berkley Bridge, and instead of being on their way through the Downtown Tunnel on I-264, they were stopped and standing around waiting to be mugged or something. I tried giving them directions, but I think it just confused them more since they had to do a little city driving to back to the tunnel. I finally offered to lead the way, in which they gladly followed.
I wouldn't do this for most people, but fellow RV's in the particular area they were in, it just seemed like the right thing to do...
They appreciated it so much you can't believe it !!!! I was once shown the road the same way when I got lost (forgot which city now). I was hopelessly lost, some gentleman just drove in front of me to where I needed to go !
You are a good man Cliff !!!!
Two Big thumbs up for you Cliff! I was just writing to a friend about "Random Acts of Kindness" !
That's awesome Cliff...I remember some of those areas from when I lived there. There's a few around here that you just wouldn't want to be lost in too! You're a good man!
This is what fellow campers are all about!:# :!
You did a nice thing Cliff. :)
