The trunk is how we use to sneak people into the drive-in!  ;)

You still can where we live, but with the tinted windows at night they can just hide in the back seat.  The prices went up big time this year.  $6 for an adult and $3 for a child and you only get to see two first run movies.  What a rip. ;)  :D

When I was in Junior High my entire family, seven of us, piled into an MG Miget, and drove from Marina del Rey to Simi Valley, about 60 miles.

6'5" father driving.
5'6" mother in front seat with me on her lap
16 year old and 12 year old sisters in back area behind seats
8 and 10 year old brothers in trunk.

What were my parents thinking???

It was great joy at the time.

Are you sure it was a miget?  I had a MGB in high school and could only fit 7 in it and it is a larger car than the miget.  Your car must have been riding low and really dragging its tail.  I am suprised it even moved.  That must have been a sight.
