Nothing close to us:mad:
I think it funny that they listed Malibu Creek State Park. There's no shade, small sites and no open fires are allowed ever. There is a lot of hiking and rock climbing nearby though and it is the site of that TV show.

Three in Calif and two in Tx. None near us...
Seeing as how it was MSN's list I expected to find some Motor coach reviewer, but instead they found a senery lover. Been to two or three of the parks listed and none were great parks, but they were in some of the best scenery around.
I just can take looking at scenery just so long if I have to drive 10 miles for a dump station, or haul water a 1/2 mile.
After I saw StateParkGrl's own work place of Pocahontas State Park I got to thinking, this looks like the same old list that was out last year?!?!
Have stayed at one: Mohawk Trail State Forest! The bathrooms smelled so bad that two people in our group actually vomitted from the smell while trying to use them.
The rest of the park is nice, but would not rate it in the top 10 parks that I've camped in let alone the nation.
I don't know what their criteria was for picking the top ten, but if a newbie camper went there for their first camping trip, they'd probably never camp again!
