Of course please realize that those answers have no credibility, but maybe they will get someone to respond.
It was nice to have them offer tents, sleeping bags, and other gear. But I am with you, if I am going to drive 6 hours, spend one night, and try to see a lot of people in one day, I'd just flop into a motel to sleep.

Nope - it was really Lee this time! Actually this was all news to me! He just mentioned it last night, and it's just perfect that I have Tuesday and Wednesday off! Now about that 3am thing.....

Absolutely ! When we go to Florida, we are out the door by 3:30 am or so ! By the time it is 9 am, we normally will have covered around 350 miles ! That is a lot of distance to put behind when the day is just starting :)
But, I take care of the kids, and make sure thay are ready and if necessary guide them to the car and stuff. They are usually to sleepy to do the smallest thing properly. Once in the car, they sleep off immediately knowing that adventure started.
So, 3 am sounds good ! Are you sure it is not a tad early ? I thought the drive was only around 5 hours or so tops ? Uh oh, 389 miles, 6 hours and 16 minutes, 3 am is good :) You are expected to arrive at 9:30 am :) I hope you do not hit NYC during their rush hour ? Or are you coming from North little bit ? makes it a 399 mile trip ....

I should fly right thru NY.. Kid's?? No problem.. Wake them up, give them a table spoon of dimmatap, and belt them in the van... 6 hours of peacefull driving!! Kidding, well not about the peacefull driving.. :p

Alos, remember to keep them as active as possible the day before with no nap; that will ensure sleeping. ;) Have a safe trip.
