Title: Hoax warning
Post by: wiininkwe on Jul 07, 2004, 12:49 PM
I hate hoax warnings, but this one is important!

Send this warning to everyone on your e-mail list.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are conducting a survey

and asks you to take your clothes off, do not do it !!!

This is a scam; they only want to see you naked.

I wish I'd gotten this yesterday.
I feel so stupid and cheap now.............   :>)

Hey, I have got you all beat.  They ring the bell and when I open the door they are gone!   All I see is that brown truck pulling out of our court!   Now I know it was AbDiver/Dave!

AbDiver/Dave, that sure was a long drive for you!  ;)

Actually Joan it was me this time.  Dave and I take turns doing that just so we can get the extra miles on our trucks.  And we both have stories we could tell about how people are dressed (or not:yikes:) when we are delivering.

Abbear,

OK, if that was you, then last night must have been Dave/AbDiver.  Gosh, I'm going to have to keep a list becaue I do a lot of magazine/mail ordering (my mailperson hates me because I get, at least, 4-5 magazines a day).  Thanks for straightening me out on this.  I'll start my list today.

Actually I usually am 1) apologetic (even though they CHOSE to answer the door in whatever state of dress/undress) 2) looking anywhere but at them 3) making as few comments as possible  and 4) getting back to my truck as fast as I can without looking back.

With 150+ pickup and delivery stops over a 10+ hour day I just want to get done and go home.

Yep, story of my life....  So many doors, so little time.

hmmm, Toni, too bad I didnt know about this earlier so I could have advised you to answer the door wearing just Saran Wrap.  It creates a much more festive atmosphere  than plain old clothes (especially if you  dress in the new colored varieties like blue or red or green)  and at the same time,  doesnt expose tender body parts to the hazards of the weather extremes one usually experiences in Western Michigan
