Has anyone been to First Landing State Park in Virginia? I believe it is on cheasapke bay? We want to go to Williamsburg then down to this park ( if the reviews are good) and then to the OBX! If the reviews arent good we may skip it and go right for the OBX.
We will be coming from Wisconsin and want to see as much as we can, but only if it is truly worth it
First Landing is nice, but bring the broom along, you're going to have sand everywhere! It's a nice campground though, and will be even better next year when they get the water & electric sites open. Be advised, they are doing some construction inside the campground, upgrading site's for water & electric...

A bit of an update on First Landing's electric & water... I called the park on Sunday and asked specifically when they would have those W&E sites open, they told me not until next spring even though the website states they should be done by the end of the summer. Guess we'll see, I know they are not renting them right now!
Thanks for the update. Does that mean we have to keep calling back to see if they have been released? I guess all the rain has slowed things done a bit
