Title: November camping
Post by: popupcamper on Sep 13, 2004, 04:20 PM
Does anyone have a suggestion of where I can camp in the month of November 2004.  Looking in the Maryland or PA area near Gettysburg

I've heard wonderful things about Drummer Boy near Gettysburg, but I don't know when they close for the season.  Their website doesn't say, but their number is 800-293-2808

Spring Gulch (//www.springgulch.com) is open in November, but that's closer to Morgantonw/Lancaster than Gettysburg.  Still, it's a nice place.

If I can think of any other campgrounds, I'll add them.

Try Caledonia State Park.  We were just there and loved it.  It's quite close to Gettysburg.

A few of us from COTOC may camp the first weekend of November in Gettysburg.  We are taking a wait and see approach because the weather can be bad that time of the year. :)  We have camped at Drummer Boy in the past, but want to try a new campground.
