Hello to all you PUT folks.  After an 18 month or so absence, I have returned to the boards.  I look forward to swapping stories, learning new tricks and keeping up with the ever popular leisure activities of you all.

It's nice to have you back!  :W  I hope you were off camping for that 18 months and have lots of good stuff to share with us!  We'll try to do the same!  :)

I see you are from Chesapeake... I used to work there!  Almost in NC actually.  How long have you been there for?

Moved here in March of '04.  My wife is with the world's largest retailer, so we came here from Northwest Arkansas, but originally from Chicago.

I bet you'll love living in VA--we were in "Shawlottesvull" for 3 years and loved it and even when we moved spent many summers there in the mountains.

It is hard to find a state more varied in topography and climate, or more interesting or important  in history.   :usflag:

Welcome back to the board!!! And ummm, welcome to Chesapeake too! Maybe we'll find some time to do a little local camping together sometime. I've got a couple of places on my short list...First Landing SP in Va Beach, they will have electric and water sites next spring. I'm also looking at checking out Chipokes Plantation SP (Smithfield-Surrey area), and have my eye's on a COE campground on Kerr Lake (Bugg's Island Lake) about 2 hours from here...

Hope we can do that.  We don't know many folks here yet, so we welcome any opportunity to get to know some one with similar interests. send me an e-mail and we can stay in touch and plan something for the spring.  I wish we could get out this fall, but our weekends are just packed with kids activities.

Well, I'm going to be camping all through the fall, starting tomorrow! But for the first few weeks will be in someones back yard! I'll drop ya line and we'll work something out. Try to keep Easter Weekend open, we will hold our third annual 'Spring Fling' that weekend, seriously considering the Northbend COE on Buggs Island Lake for that one!
