can anyone recomend good camping vlose to Gettysberg and Hersey? We are thinking of going there next summer and need a place to stay. We typicall stay in state parks, a bit more rustic and less commerilized? although electricity and hot showers would be nice

We stayed at Drummer boy in Gettyburg this summer and loved it.  The rest rooms and showers are very clean and the folks in the camp store are very helpful. The campground is only a few minutes from downtown Gettsburgs.  I highly recommend this campground.

Drummer Boy is very nice, but very commercialized and on the expensive side. :)

There are several nice state parks nearby.  Caledonia is west of Gettysburg but further from Hershey.  Codorus State Park has nice sites, a huge lake, and big pool for swimming.  You can easily make day trips to Gettysburg, Hershey, and Lancaster.
