Title: AlumiTite Roof Question
Post by: tlhdoc on Jan 24, 2005, 07:25 PM
If you bought a Fleetwood PU with the AlumiTite roof, do you have a block of foam to put between the roof and door when popped down?  Does the owners manual say to do this with the foam?:)

Hey Tracy - we have a block of foam that goes between the door when snapped up and the roof.  We also have 4 little fabric pieces that go between the lifter arms and the tenting when popping down.  The dealer said they were for when the PU is being shipped from the factory, but we decided to keep using them.  Hope this helped!

Nope..no foam, no fabric for us......the only extra block of foam we have is the memory foam we added to the mattresses!  LOL

I've never heard of the foam, but the fabric between the lifter arms is to protect the tenting from getting caught on the lifter arms when popping down. I personally dont use them, I just make sure the tenting is pushed in at the lifter arm points.
