I had already made reservations for the group outing in Ohio for the end of June. Today I made reservations for Camden Hills State Park here in Camden Maine. I made these for Memorial weekend.
I plan on a weekend trip in April to Acadia NP as my first of the season, anticipation is starting to hit hard!!!!!!

Bah! Humbug!
I haven't made any reservations at all. With Holly's social life constantly hanging in the balance while in school, it is hard to make any plans.
I made reservations in May last year, for an outing in late September. It was for an NRRA story-telling festival, and the cg filled up quickly, so early reservations were required. It was about a 3-4 hour drive for us.
Well, the good news is, we WERE able to go. The bad news is, we weren't able to leave until 6pm on Friday night, and crossed the time zone line on the way, so it was 11pm when we arrived. We then had to leave early Sunday AM to get back home for other reasons. So, we were there for all of 32 hours, and we were in bed for at least 16 of it! That's a lot of driving for a short weekend...WHEW! We swore that that cg was at least a 3 nighter! And it is one of our favorite places.
Thank goodness for TPUC'ers who helped us back in at night!

I'm just really, really bad about making (or not in my case...) reservations. I can't seem to decide far enough in advance most of the time where or when I want to go somewhere. There are usually only one or two of our camping trips or vacations that I manage to make reservations for. It's not at all unusual though for one of us (DH or me) to say, as we're walking out the door for work on a Friday morning....."hey, why don't we take off this evening and go camping?" :eyecrazy:

I usually don't make reservations for weekend trips, just call before I leave. I do make reservations for the group outings, holiday weekends and of course Acadia NP.
I have already made 6 reservations for this year and I am thinking about a couple of others. Here if I don't make reservations far in advance it is hard to get in at all. We camp at State parks and county parks only.
