Title: Does anyone own a StarCraft 2407?
Post by: donisasatx on Feb 14, 2005, 11:02 AM
We just bought our first popup, A 1999 Starcraft 2407.  We are happy even though this unit does not have a shower or toilet.  Does anyone else own this model?  How has this popup performed?  I got a great deal on his unit!  Only spent 3k for it.

The factory only made one, and now you are the proud owner!

Just kidding of course!  I always wanted to do that! :p

We have one untill we sell it! It has been great with no problems.
I just got tired of the cranking and most of our trips take two days to
get there so we were sleeping overnight in the truck or in a hotel.
I refuse to pay for a hotel when I have an RV on the back.:)
The storage was not to helpfull either. Hope you enjoy it, we did with our's.

Good luck with your new camper.
Hope you have many memorable camping trips with it.

I did a quick check of the average retail value of your unit, and the base model price came in at 4-K, so you did get a good deal on it. Now if it came with some option goodies like A/C, furnace, 3-way fridge, awning, AAR,  hot water, etc it would make for a great deal.

PS: Starcraft makes one great camper. You should be real pleased with it.

My Starcraft did come with A/C, furnace, 3 way fridge, and an awning.  What is a AAR?  I do not believe it can do hot water though.

It will do hot water!!!!!
An AAR encloses the awning to make it into a screen room.
Not worth it with a Starcraft, Too hard to put up and it is allways in the way
of going in and out. Shootme an e-mail if you needto know more.
I have the same exact trailer.

We have a 2000 2407 and really enjoy it.  It has held up well for us with 5 kids and all.  We mostly camp in CG with electric hookups.  I built a bike rack out of PVC pipes that will hold six bikes, it comes in handy.

We have an old Starcraft that has the screen room, but i haven't figured out how to get it on yet.  The AAR(add-a-room)is a great thing, I have to disagree with the other post, cause my bro has one for his Coleman and when it pours, it doesn't matter cause he and his kids just sit in there and play cards or whatever, I mean it actually added a 12' by 12' area of living space.  I think they are neat.  JMHO
