Title: Newbie Question
Post by: PoisonIvy on Mar 02, 2005, 01:38 PM
Hello!  I am a newbie.  Just bought our first pop-up, a 2004 (new, just last year's model) Fleetwood/Coleman Sedona.  We are very excited about it.  Not sure if I'm posting this in the right place, so please redirect me if I'm not.  We are in the Kansas City area and looking for a place to camp where my husband can be right next to a river or lake so he can fish all night.  Does anyone know of a place that fits this description?  Also, any tips about nice places to camp near K.C. would be most welcome.  Thanks!

Welcome to PUT. Sorry I can't help you on a campground where you live, because I don't know the area.  There is a campground forum here at PUT, you might be able to find the information you want there.  Ask away with any other questions you may have.:)

I have only stayed in one CG in KS and it was nowhere near water.
Here is a link to some excellent resources for you to look through.

Don't know of any camp sites as I'm not from that area but here is a link to Tim's web site which has a wealth of information about pop up and just about anything else you might want to know.

I don't know where you can fish from campsite, but lake jake CG IS a short walk from lake. Watkins Mill s.p. is close, you might find something around Smithville. Good Luck.
