Title: Coleman vs Statcraft?
Post by: diane on Mar 09, 2005, 03:10 PM
I really had my heart set on a 99 coleman sea pine I saw a a dealership in NJ, but while I was looking at another unit to compare someone else made the deal (my loss). Another dealership called me about a really "clean" (he says) 97 starcraft starmaster. I know nothing about startcraft pop-ups. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks :W

I owned a second-hand 99 Starcraft Meteor for several years and loved it. We never had any problems at all with it. The Starcraft customer service folks was very helpful when we needed some cable adjustment info, too. I would still own this wonderful little unit but for the fact we needed to go larger and found a hybrid (gasp!) that was towable with our Toyota Tacoma. In my humble opinion you can't go wrong with a Starcraft assuming that the previous owners maintained it.

Starcraft is an excellent manufacturer of PU's.

 IMHO, one of the best.

Thanks, the dealer called me back witha price of $4,000. Seems a bit pricey for a 97, but it does have heat hot water and the comode. I will be taking a look on Sat. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we won't have more of that 4-letter word, SNOW! :#  :#

Diane, you can check the retail value on http://www.nadaguides.com/ (//%22http://www.nadaguides.com/%22)you do have to know what optional equipment comes with the trailer and what's standard as the standard stuff is included in the base price.
