Title: A/c Freeze Up

This Weekend We Woke Up To A Hot And Humid Pup.  The A/c Had Froze Up On Us.  Has Anyone Else Experienced This And How Can It Be Avoided In The Future?

Generally, the A/C will freeze if it's low on freon. Another possibility is a dirty air filter/restricted flow. Less likely would be the fan not moving air...you'd know that one!
 
Check and make sure the filter and coils are clean. If thats not it, I'd say a trip to the shop is needed.

A lot of this has been going around lately. Mine has never froze up yet, but another cause maybe having the thermostat pegged at it's coldest setting, and the fan set on the low speed setting. This is common at night where most people don't change the thermostat setting, but set the speed on low to reduce the noise.

 Majority of the time it is because there is low volume of air going acrossed the coils, and can include dirty filters.

Try turning the temp down and running the fan on high.:)
