Title: Where can I buy for cheap?
Post by: javo on Jun 17, 2005, 08:34 AM
I sold my giant Jayco tandem axle popup yesterday and bought a much smaller Viking Popop but I need to find an AC.
Can someone tell me where I might find a REALLY good deal on a roof top A/C? Used is fine..
If someone knows of a place in the Dallas area thats even better.

Thanks.

I found a 7,000 BTU one for $300 from a local shop.
Think thats a good deal?

The thing I am most worried about is the installation. I have to do it myself. There are some wires that run to the ceiling (one white one black) but there arent any lights or anthing. So I'm hoping / wondering if this may be prewired.. Also the vent thats on this thing is only 9"x9" and it's only about 8 inches from the side of the camper so should I just make it bigger and mount it there? Or does it have to be in the center?

I think the model is the Viking SP 150. Folded up it's only 7 feet long so it's not a big one. Any advice here is GREATLY appreciated..

Thanks,

Javo, you'll want to contact Coachmen/Viking about putting an AC on the roof as to location and the wiring.

Tom Raper Rvs in Richmond, In has great prices on alot of things... I think AC was $795.00..might find cheaper but it seems to be  agreat dealer to me. I just nought a new Rockwood 1980 popup from them and was a great experience
