Title: 2003 vs newer coleman/fleetwood trailer
Post by: station71 on Jun 26, 2005, 02:58 PM
Can anyone tell me the things that changed in a coleman trailer after 2003. I've heard the roof may have changed etc. Were these changes for the better or for the worse

Cheers

Alastair

There aren't any new "Coleman" PU.  Fleetwood makes the PU trailers that used to be called Coleman, but they don't have the Coleman name anymore.  There are changes every year and 2 different roofs have been offered each year.  If you are referring to the ABS roof, they don't make them any more.  If you are referring to the more traditional aluminum roof, they still make them.  Can you be more specific in what changes you are interested in?:)

Besides the roof changes in 2003 (No more ABS) Fleetwood also began to offer their high wall "Highlander" series in 2004.
This series allows for all the galley components to be permently fixed insided the PU, so there is no set-up required for the galley. Larger fridges, gas oven, microwave ovens, and solid wall baths were just some of the items that were now available due to the high wall design.

Many of the Fleetwood floor plans have been flipped "front to back" so that, for example, the door is in front of the axle instead of behind, the sink is to the left of the door instead of the right, the fridge is in the fron instead of the back, etc.
