Title: Homeschoolin' while campin'?
Post by: still searchin' on Jun 30, 2005, 02:20 PM
We are anxiously awaiting delivery of our PU - can't wait! I'm wondering if any body out there Homeschools their children while on camping trips. I really look forward to all of the teaching opportunities like, nature, biology, and history just waiting to be discovered by my 3 children ages 5, 6, and 8.  What interesting or otherwise totally cool things has anybody done for their homeschoolers out there? Should I leave the Saxon Math at home?

Thanks!

We home school but find it's too hard to do while camping.  I look at it as a field trip and learning by experience verses books.  Many times we have discovered some plant or bug and the kids do research on them after we get home.
