Title: Seal on Coleman ABS roof
Post by: jbalash on Jul 10, 2005, 04:18 AM
The seal on my 2001 Bayside has started to come off in one spot. I called my dealer and they suggested super glue to re-attach it. It worked for a short time but is coming off again. Does anyone know of something better to attach it? Thanks, Jim

I have reaqd in other locations the recommendation of Gorilla Glue.  Be careful to not put on too much at first because this glue expands as it cures.

I had the seal on my Coleman come off over the door.  I used automotive black RTV sealent.  Used a bunch, then closed the roof tight to hold the seal together until it dried.  It's held up for 2 years, in spite of the fact that the roof had completely bowed and delaminated ($#%& Fleetwood).  Good Luck.

get some weatherstrip adheasive from an automotive store - get the kind that is yellow, not a yellow tube, but the color of the glue is actually yellow.  I use that stuff on everything, it dries quick & hold forever.
