We went to a place this weekend called Indian Hills Ranch CG just outside Tehachapi, Ca.(50 miles from home). It is a privatley owned CG with most all sites having Electric, Water, and a dump station nearby. The weather was great with Highs in the mid 90's and a bit chilly at night. It is at 5000' so it is a bit cooler all the way around. They have a "Behind the Gate section that has a couple of ponds. The only one's allowed to go back there are people that are camping in the 12 spaces they have in this area. They issue you a key upon arrival to go in and out as you please. We camped in a spot right in between the two ponds. It was awesome for fishing, neither the DW or I had ever fished so much. The ponds are stocked with Bass, Bluegill, Sunfish, and Catfish. (For those of you that will be camping with us in Temecula, I will be telling you the story of "Catfish Hunter"). All three of us caught fish, maybe 30 over the two days. The CG is only about 10 min from town, but when you are out there it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. I have posted pics on my Webshots of the CG. Go to the Indian Hill Ranch folder. Also, they have a website at http://www.indianhillranch.com (//%22http://www.indianhillranch.com/%22)
Glad you had a great time Brian, but sure missed you at ONeill! BTW, I can't help but quote from the SCCampers/ONeill thread:
Quote from: TheVikingWe regretfully have to bail on this camp out. We have too many irons in the fire right now with work and other stuff. As the CEO, I have left all of the "Fish Squad" duties to President Dee. I'm sure she will make me proud. She will also fill everyone in on some of the ideas we have come up with regarding the "Fish Squad".
Um...dude, at our house, we would say you're busted!! ;) I think the Fish Squad is going to have to come up with something for this violation of the Fish Squad bylaws.:p :D
Don't forget to post a copy of this in the correct campgrond review forum.

I see...you as CEO are SLACKIN...when in reality..you wanted to stay close to home and with hook-ups  that puts you in violation of article 2 paragraph 7: and the penalty for this act will be discussed and upheld @ the Temecula Rally.. :J :J :J
That's ok...as Prez I upheld the group...requited some new members.....yes I made it..after they threw a few bolcks of cheese at me to go with my whine..I took a deep breath...drank and few beers and all was good...

It was a last minute thing, it was only 54 miles from home. Besides, as CEO it is my job to scope out new Fish Squad meeting places. I hope you all had fun though, and didn't sweat too much.

yeah a couple of times I said I was going to bed (around 8 pm) but nobody believed me  especially Lori & Brandon.
ya you know we're just bustin your chops...cause we can..we missed you guys..haven't checked out the website yet hopefully tomorrow (or should I say today) What I WANT to do is sleep all day (like THAT would EVER happen)
but I'm being bugged to go have my foot x-rayed.
Beautiful pictures! Looks like a terrific camping spot! I'd love to camp there, however, it would be a bit of a drive for us. ;>
wow that place looks neet..we'll have to check it sometime...Bear is soooo cute.. Why haven't you brought him to a rally?? you'll have to bring him next time
OK, now I'm drooling ... that looks too great to be a private CG. You sure you weren't boondocking someplace?

We don't take him on alot of outings because he sheds like crazy! I don't want the camper full of dog hair. #2 is because when he is in the camper and all spralled out on the floor, he makes a 27' TT about a 14' TT. He had a blast up there though. It really is cool. The site we had had a 40' x 40' concrete slab to park on and the electric pole had
two 30 amp plugs in it.
We should set up a camp out up there sometime.

You're invited! Just let us know when you can be here. It's just a hop, skip, and a jump from Michigan.

I'm not coordinated enough to hop, skip and jump all the way to CA, I think I'll dirve ;)
