Hi folks,
The price of gas...which is now a $1.04 per litre in Newfoundland...is causing havoc with my ability to camp as often as I'd like. Right now, I'm driving a chevy S10 pickup - & it's hard on gas. I'm thinking about getting a new vehicle next spring...any cars out there that can tow my 2003 Jayco 10ft. camper that are also easier on gas...?
Thanks,
Lori
I drive a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac and get about 19-20 miles to the gallon(US) when towing my PU which weights about 3000 lbs.
I get about 17-19 in the city when not towing go figure!

On my old set of tires (smaller), I got as good/better mileage when towing also, especially on long trips. I think it is because it was mostly highway driving, and my daily driving is in traffic.
