Title: water won't stop running
Post by: Wendy on Aug 15, 2005, 10:09 PM
We just purchased a 1997 Coleman Santa Fe.  We hooked up the water hose to the sink and the water was gushing out!  No matter which way we turned the sink facet handle the water was pouring out.  Do we need a new facet?  Or is there something else we need to hook up?  The manual is very vague.

Hi Wendy, and welcome to the forum.

Not being certain, but I believe some of the earlier Colemans had pump style faucets. (before changing over to electric water pumps) You had to push the faucet handle up and down to pump the water from your fresh water holding tank. The pump handle had to be in the down position for the city water supply. Make sure the handle is pushed down, and then turn the faucet clockwise like a regular faucet to shut it off.

 Hope this does it.
