We just bought a Fleetwood PU, and I was wondering what my options are for sheets. Regular king-sized sheets won't fit my king size bunks, right? What does everyone else do?
We just use leeping bags. I know there is a place that makes custom fit sheets for popup trailers. checkout www.popupexplorer.com (//%22http://www.popupexplorer.com%22) and then click on PUX store

Wow! How high can they leep? :yikes: Do they leep while you sleep? Do they peep when they leep? :D
We use special fitted sheets where the top sheet is sewn to the foot of the bottom sheet. I don't remember where we found them, but we have one red set and one green set. The kids tend to prefer leeping bags.

In our Coleman Cheyenne, king size sheets fit our bed, they're a tad big but not bag. DD's bunk is full size and regular sheets fit that well. We got sheets with the camper also. We use those plastic things that clip on the sheets (they look like old-lady garter belts, don't know what they're called) under the mattress to hold the fitted sheets on the mattress better.
Hope this helps,
Tena

No standard bed sheet will fit exactly, but they fit close enough to work. I don't like to use just lseeping bags because of the roughness of the fabric, and the drool/sweat (not mine!) getting on the mattresses. I like the feeling of a sheet. So we've always used sheets. I have a set specifically for the trailer and they get stored with the other "trailer only" stuff I bring in to wash after a trip, and then put into a pop-up laundry hamper as we head out, along with our bath and swim towels, table cloths, etc. The pop-up hamper heads out with clean clothes and comes back with dirty ones.
We do use sleeping bags opened up as blankets, although when it's really hot weather my kids prefer to bring their light comforters from home to use.
When we bought our Coleman a set of sheets was one of the "freebies" so we use those with sleeping bags. The girls actually use their sleeping bags as bags but DH & I use them opened up as a bottom & a comforter. I like having sheets on the beds, I think it helps keep the mattresses a little cleaner.

We use REGULAR king sheets...not california king. For us, they were somewhat hard to find. They work just fine...perhaps a little large but we just tuck them in. We tried the sleeping bags but prefer sheets and blankets.
If I remember correctly literature says our king bed measures 77 X 70, a few inches different that a regular king bed but regular king fitted sheets fit good enough...matter of fact I can't tell they aren't custom made.
If you machine sew the darts in each corner 1" longer, king size do fit very well. I got mine on the clearance shelf at Walmart for $3. You can also buy fleece by the yard (off the discount table of course ;) ) to make cheep matching covers.
you can use iron board clips http://www.lnt.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1362778

or sheet grippers on the corners and they hold the sheets on.

read it another trailer mag :
if you have a sewing machine you can run a 1/2 seam on one end of the sheet to remove the slack,
We use regular king and full size sheets on our bunks. I buy fitted sheets that have elastic all the way around. The elastic holds the extra sheet material under the bed. They work great.:)
Here is where we got ours. This is the only place I found on-line that sells thems.. We bought the 200 count. They fit good even with memory foam.

Congrats on the new Fleetwood! Geez, is there a reason the sheets have to fit? I mean, this
is camping, right? So, if the king sheet bags a little, is it really a big deal? We got some king sheets on sale and also put a memory foam mattress topper on each bed. Then we open up the sleeping bags to make a comforter. Keep in mind that these mattresses in the PU are not hugely comfy. Someone had recommended more "cush" on the beds, and they were right. We chose memory foam
Enjoy the new PU!
