Post by: PJJ on Aug 22, 2005, 09:56 AM

A tent camper/backpacker for over 50 years. I owned a popup truck camper for a few years and now want to purchase the SMALLEST, QUALITY tent popup on the market. Let me know which you think is the one and why. Go for it!!

Hi, welcome to the board!
When you ask for the smallest , are you looking for something like the Combi Camp ? (their website isn't working or I'd of posted a link)

If you are looking for small,  just a place to sleep for 1 or 2  the Alite (//%22http://www.aliner.com/page31.html%22) may fit the bill.
Title: Thanks!

Thank you but really looking for smallest tent trailer with sink, heater and maybe stove. Like Fleetwood or Jayco types or like the Coleman Taos model.

Only 2-3, but it is more important to me that I find out who of Jayco, Fleetwood, Starcraft,  etc. are the BEST quality made for a 8 ft. box. Thanks.

Depends on who you ask.  I LOVE my Jayco and think it's the best!  (it's also a 12' box)  But Fleetwood owners will tell you that their PU is best ... same with Starcraft, etc.

Most will tell you to find a floorplan that works for you and a dealer/service center that really works for you.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Fleetwood has a new, tiny, camper out for 06 (already at dealers).  I think it is called the neon.

For something small, unique, and a genuine tent trailer, check out the Jumping Jack product at www.jumpingjacktrailers.com (//%22http://www.jumpingjacktrailers.com%22).  They have a very interesting product.
