Title: Ping: ForestCreature
Post by: AustinBoston on Sep 02, 2005, 07:28 AM
Marcy,

Was it you & "Mr. ForestCreature" that made & donated the tripod/grill to the silent auction in Townsend, TN at the 2002 PUT rally?

We were using it last week in Pennsylvania (yes, it's still going strong, thanks :) ), and I thought of you.

I think it was. I am in the process of making one too, but I have yet to buy the parts (except for the tripod). Was at Lowe's looking for parts when I got called to a family emergency.

Am looking forward to using it.

Here's a pic...not the best shot tho. All the good pictures are buried on a cd and haven't been transfered back onto the puter since the last redo of the system.

Shoot me an email and we can give you some direction on how to make it, we have sold them local, shipping costs (due to the length of the legs) make it ridiculous to try and ship.

hmmmm....can't get the file to upload  ...resized and optomized, let's see if that works.

It was perfect and would work great for reheating things over the fire that we have brought with us frozen (thawed by the time we get there).

Thanks, I'll email you!

Mine is like this. Not as rugged as the one Gary built but it works. Still need to add something to the slide adjuster to keep it cooler. I like the wooden handle idea he had.

Each leg on mine breaks down into three pieces for easy storage.
