My wife and I just purchased a 2002 Coleman Taos used form a local large RV dealer. We had a 2001 Taos that we pulled with a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4x4 with the 4.0 inline six. Our current tow vehicle is a 2004 Ford F-150 Super cab heritage model. We chose the Taos again for ease of tow. We want to be able to tow up and down the mountains of New Hampshire/Appalachian mountains. Our Cherokee only had a class III hitch no brake controller or tranny cooler or helper springs this was a dangerous setup even with the small Taos. I wanted our new truck to pull the Taos like a power stroke diesel pulling a small travel trailer. Check out my truck mods in my sig.
Happy camping
Scott
Sounds like you will not have any problems towing a Taos with your F150. Why did you upgrade from a 2001 to a 2002 camper?:)
