Hello to all, Our Family just purchased a new Forest River Flagstaff 208. My question is how do you get all the water out of the fresh water holding tank? The bottem of the tank seems to be lower in the center than the rest of the tank (curved bottem not flat). the drain valve is too high to get it all out. There is still about 2 or 3 gallons in there. I noticed this after I put the top down, so i'm not sure if the faucet will pump out the rest when it is set up again. Is the pick up line for the faucet going to reach the lowest point? Is it possible to elevate the camper on the opposite side of the drain valve? For example, I use to have a Coleman/Fleetwood model that had the under the floor water tank and with the drain valve toward the rear (if I remember correctly) and what I would do is raise (or lower) the tounge jack and most, if not all, of the water would drain out.

I found that I could push up slightly on the bottom of the tank, and hold the plastic bottom of the tank up with a small block of wood wedged between the tank and axle. I also removed the hose from the freshwater draw. This causes almost all of the water to flow out, and what is left can be prevented from freezing with RV antifreeze.
A small amount of water in the bottom of the tank will not hurt a thing. As long as there is room for expansion.
I leave the drain on the tank open when I tow home. By the time I get home all of the water has bounced out of the tank. As long as there is room for expansion your tank will be OK if it freezes.:)
