Title: Outside Grill

Howdy all, the conncetion to my RVQ leeks very slightly at the threads between the on/off valve and the hose.  On any other threaded connection I would use teflon tape, however propane would destroy the teflon.  Any thing else out there that can be used?

You could use a brush on pipe sealant. Just check to make sure it is compatable with LP. Oatley makes one you could get at Lowe's or Home Depot.

Go to Lowes, Home Depot or other hardware store. They sell a special teflon tape for use on gas lines....the tape itself is a pale yellow in color vs the white for regular tape. Cost about the same, and it's made for gas/fuel applications...

An old proven product for sealing L/P and natural gas connections is
Rector Seal #5 (Pipe Thread Sealant)

Find it at any hardware or Lowe's or Home Depot. I think a 1.75oz can goes for about $3.00 - the brush is attached to the inside lid of the can. Simply brush the sealant onto whatever the connection, tighten and turn on the gas. It will completely dry in a day.
