Post by: GrizzlyTaco on Jan 05, 2006, 09:49 PM
I just posted my first pics on my new webshots site. How do I get my link address to work so when you click on it, so it will take you to the site. I'm new to this and could use a little help. Thanks.........Ed C. :sombraro:

Just copy and paste it into your signature in the control panel area of this site.   Nice pics.   Is that a DR Horton/Continental Home in the backround?
Looks just like the homes in my old neighborhood in Az.

Try removing the quotes and post it like this:

Looks like you may be neighbors to my best friend that lives in the Dell Web homes in Henderson. :D

Viking,  I did copy, then paste at my signature, but it wouldn't let me click into the site. Then i added the little asteriks to try that, and nothing. The house in the background of my pics is mine. Thats how they build them out here, big house, little yards. I'll have to play with it some more to figure this out....Thanks   :sombraro:

Try this...

(url)http://what ever your link is.com[/url]
replace the ( ) with [ ]...had to use the ( ) so you'd be able to see it in the post.

Marcy's on the right track.  It should look like this:

[ url = http://www.mywebpageonly.net ]My Web Page[ / url ]

But without the spaces inside the [ ] brackets ([ url = http should be [url=http).

I don't understand why it won't work. You put it in correctly. You didn't click on the U (for underline) did you?

I just copied your URL off of your signature line and pasted it right here:
http://community.webshots.com/user/grizzlytaco
And as you can see, it works fine.

GrizzlyTaco

This is to all others as well. I recently joined a free photo storage site called photobucket and it provides three options for you beneath each photo you upload     for you to use if you want to post links from other sites such as this forum to your stored photos. Its great and very easy to use.

Below: East view @ Laurel Hill Tunnel at Pennsylvania Turnpike mile post 101.3. This is part of the old abandoned Vanderbilt's South Pennsylvania Railrod alignment.
