Is it my imagination or is this website getting slower each day.
I have cable internet connection and most web pages open immediately. It seems like this one takes about 10 seconds to refresh each time. I'm just wondering if others are experiencing the same thing. If your not, it may be a local hub that is having problems and I will report it.

Not slow from where I sit.... contact your ISP.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know :D .
HMMMMM  This is right off of the website:
"Showing results 1 to 2 of 2. Search took 8.58 seconds"
HMMMMMMMMM  Now when I click on "View new posts" I got:
"Showing results 1 to 4 of 4. Search took 21.57 seconds".
That's right from the server. However, when I timed the response, it took 44 seconds. I think that I will call my ISP.
Yep...it is sllllllllooooooooowwww.

I just got off of the phone with Comcast. They said that it is a slow website but that there is also a hang up somewhere in the system. They are going to conduct some tests to find the problem and call me back. I have a 5mb connection and didn't even know it :D .
I've got a little pull with Comcast (very little) because the management company that I work for manages 5200 apartments in the LA area and I train the new managers (at my location) on getting tenants set up on new rentals. That includes selling the new tenants on Comcast Cable Service. I'm pretty tight with the LA Rep for Comcast and he gets a lot done for me.

I figured the first thing they would tell you is that it is the website's fault. Why do people always pass the buck?
Just for the hell of it I tried the two things you did. Both had results in under a second.
You might want to try http://www.abeltronica.com/velocimetro/pt/?idioma=uk&newlang=uk (//%22http://www.abeltronica.com/velocimetro/pt/?idioma=uk&newlang=uk%22) It's a speed test that gives both uploading and downloading speeds.
Remember a cable 5mb connection means that's the maximum speed downloading POSSIBLE, actual results WILL vary.
Also spyware on your computer WILL slow down processing as well. Here's one for that: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/ (//%22http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/%22)

I've had Adaware then AdawareSE for years along with Spybot :D . I run them every day. I also have the latest Norton anti-virus which scans for spyware (I hate that stuff :swear: ). However, it is pretty useless for spyware. I also defrag once a week and run Windows CleanUp every day:
http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/My download speed is 2.7mb, upload is 1.5mb. That fluctuates all the time though.
I don't have any problem with other websites that I visit. I do some day-trading (that's why I am in front of this stupid box all day) and keep my PC (which I built myself) pretty clean.
I just ran another test on "View new posts" and it was .18 seconds. It seems to fluctuate but then again, maybe they fixed the problem on my end. It ran over 8 seconds all day yesterday.
Go figure
Since you mentioned COmcast I'll bet your call did the trick. We get a lot of reports on them. Some service areas they have been reported to actually cut the speeds until some one complains. Other reports say they lack server capacity in some areas. For one of the largest providers their reputation hasn't been the best.

I think that you're right. It has been pretty consistent at .3 seconds ever since my phone call. They never called me back either. HMMM!!
