A few years ago I was surfing the web and came across a site for a camper with a Coleman Utah with MOD's that he make including the addition of a eletric hotwater heater I think it was a 2.5 gal home style heater that he put in the front trunk of his PU. Does anyone know whom im thinking of and if so could you get me his web address. Thank you all

Welcome to PUT!  I don't know who did that mod, but there have been several people that have done it.  If I recall correctly the cold water line was split so that one side went to the electric water heater (hot shot type) and then to a regular mixer faucet.  Do you have an electric water pump?  You need one for this mod.:)

There are all kinds of "On-demand" water heaters that don't even require a tank. They are much more efficient than the tank type and don't take up much room.

Here is a tankless model:

Here's a 110v unit with a 2.5 gal tank:

Here is a Coleman propane type:

Here's a whole bunch of 'em :p :

Waverly the Coleman Hot Water on demand can't be built in to your regular water system.  They are nice units, but they are an "Outside" use unit and you have to turn the water flow on and off at the unit.  They are not an automatic demand type unit.  Some of the eBay units you listed require 220 volts.  I don't think you would be able to use them at a campground.
