Title: newbie question
Post by: keeperdog on Mar 03, 2006, 12:32 PM
What does DW, DH, DD etc stand for?

I get the H-husband, W-wife, D-daughter, but for the life of me I can't figure out what the first D is for.

I'm sure it is something obvious that I am just missing.  :eyecrazy:

I've sorta asked that same question myself (not out-loud though :p ).

Judging by the type of people that are on this board, I have determined (in my own mind) that it is a term of endearment and respect, like "DARLING"

So if you have a nagging wife, you can use NW  :D

I think I might have to get creative with this stuff.  ;)

Thanks, wavery.

People here tend to be pretty respectful to one another, especially when referring to family members.

Start talking about .........uhhhh.........."Comfort station" issues and all bets are off :yikes:

The D can stand for Devoted or Darling.  I've been with my wife for 27 years, even longer if you want to count our getting-to-know-you years.  I prefer to be with her over all others.

In my case  DW  means Divorced Wife where we had to split the money 1/2 and 1/2...half to her and the other half to her lawyer... :yikes:
