Title: Our PU is spoiled!
Post by: Kelly on Mar 15, 2006, 06:07 PM
... at least that's what DD3 told me today!

So far in the off-season she has acquired ~

    Coleman Hot Water on Demand
    Popup Gizmos bunkend covers
    a new aquatainer
    new chocks
    a set of tacky lights
and 2 new heaters (on clearance at Target - $10. for the pair)

Is your PU spoiled too?   ;)

Geeze Kelly, if we manage to meet up this summer please ask your camper to keep it's tongue shut. Our PU would get pretty upset with us, the poor thing diddn't get 1 new thing this off season.  Not even a chair   ;)

LOL, Marcy.  Not even a new chair?  What's wrong with you?  There are no new toys yet for the camper, but looking for a new grill.  Just having a hard time deciding what to replace the worthless RVQ with.  Oh wait...there is one other new toy.  (its a coughmicrowavecough.)

I think the Taj MaHaul is spoiled too...I can't think of a thing I could get for it.

It already has a better-equipped kitchen than at home (except the stove).  It has (relatively) new tires.  It's got extra heat, extra lights, the coolest tacky lights in the campground...

It's been around, too.  From Oregon to Tennessee, and from Maine to Florida, she's been used overnight or longer in about 26 states (and towed across at least a half dozen others).

Yep, I had to check on her this morning.  She was really complaining.  This is what I found:

That is such a sad sight, AB.

12 inch oven and Bal Leveler so far. Looking at the bunk end covers especially if we travel south this year for the family vacation.

The snow is falling hard here south of the Twin cities. I'm happy I have the ability to work from home on days like this.

What was that you said ?? I can't understand you with your hand over your mouth :p

As for your grill quest, I'll throw this in...we finally used our RoadTrip as a grill one rainy day last yr (after 4yrs of having it)... I love it as an oversized stove, but grilling on it did not impress me in the least. If we had gotten it to use as our main grilling source I'd of not been a happy camper. (nothing can replace a campfire cooked meal)  Take a good look at the baby Qs by Weber for grilling.

I agree :D

I just love firing up the old campfire, letting the fire burn down and throwing steaks on the grille over the nutural hot coals. EMMMMM....MMMMMMM....MMMMMMMMMMMM :!

MICROWAVE!!!

Did cyclone just say microwave? Better stock up on some microwave popcorn then.:D
Our pop-up got a shiny new set of Gizmo covers this year and a few odds and ends for the kitchen.

Jan, Jan, Jan .... Do I hafta teach you everything?  Purchasing a (coughmicrowavecough) for your PU is not spoiling the PU ... it's desecrating it!  The poor thing.   ;)

AB ~ that's a sad sight.  Poor Taj MaHaul.  Reminds me, though.  My PU got a garage this year!  Never had one big enough to keep it inside before.  The downside is it's parked door-to-the-wall and I can't get inside.   :(

HersheyGirl ~ you are so right.  She is the sweetest camper on Earth.   :D

I didn't want Skip to be the only one with a microwave.  ;)

We got:
Heated mattress cover
DVD
Popup gizmos (just ordered today)
25 gallon water collector to handle shower and toilet

and oh yeah 2006 Fleetwood Niagara

I'd say the popup is spoiled too (or maybe it's me!)

Well if everyone is bragging, then I guess I need to tell you what my camper got this spring.  2 new tires and wheels, it went to the camper chiropractor to get its axel straightened, a propane skillet, a new spare tire cover, 2 baths and we took her camping in February.  I think there is more, but I just can't remember right now.:)

I have to agree with the others that cooking over the hot coals of a fire is the best way to grill.  Charcoal is my next choice.  Grilling over propane is :% .  You might as well just cook it in a pan.:)

Sorry if it sounded like bragging!

That was not what I meant to do at all, I just got excited about everyones new stuff and my new stuff and WANT TO GO CAMPING!

I just thought we were sharing.

It wasn't bragging....unless you call this entire thread bragging! LOL.

I'd say it's more like sharing the joys of camper ownership and the cool things we do to make the campers ours. Or, keep it rolling so we can get to the CG.

Hey Sherry,

I think yer getin' a weeeee bit touchy. I think that you should get out there and do a little camping. THEN you can come back & bragg. In fact, we encourage it :p .

When tlhdoc posted "Well if everyone is bragging" I don't think that he was referring to you necessarily ;) .

No you were not bragging.  It was just my way of having an excuse to post what I have purchased this year.  Each year I think I have everything I need and then BAM there is something else to get.:)

Bragging about camping, or new stuff you got for your camper, or mods you've done is highly encouraged on this site!  ;>   That's how we all get ideas!
