Title: 1000 Islands, Landon Bay Centre Campground
Post by: dthurk on Mar 20, 2006, 06:15 AM
I wonder if anyone has any experience with this campground?  http://www.landonbay.org/camp.htm  We would like to take a week-long trip to the 1000 Islands this August and this campground looked interesting from the web page.  We've had other experiences, though, with disappointments when the campground didn't measure up to the web page.

Dave is this campground in Canada or Alaska?  If not you might get more hits if you put it in the proper area.:)

It's in Canada.  Just barely.  Good rates, 15A with water goes for $144 per week.  Canadian dollars.

We've made reservations for Landon Bay Centre Campground for August 7 to 14.  Will let you all know how it is when we get back.

spicetrader,
So am I, and can never figure out why I left until winter comes back. This coming year I did get a reservation at Kring State Park on the river. My BW was wondering if we would have and problems entring Canada with the four dogs. Would you know ?

This may help: http://www.inspection.gc.ca/english/anima/heasan/import/dogse.shtml

Looks like you'll need rabies vaccination documentation clearly indentifying each dog and you may have to certify they are your personal pets.  Pit Bulls are not permitted, banned since 2005.  If you have any of those, better kennel them here.

spicetrader,

From the link that dthurk provided it looks like we are good to go. Basicly the rules are much the same as the US. Just have the paperwork... I am hoping to go to Upper Canada Village while we are there... Thanks to all for your help.
