This is an idea for Dave or Bob or whomever is running the show now.

Now that you've stopped publishing the PUT magazine why not keep the name alive with a newsletter. It doesn't have to be a grand production just something that will let us popuppers retain our identity with our own publication.

I belong to a business association and we sell our newsletter's back page to sponsors who want to reach our members. I don't how the numbers would work for you but I thought I'd suggest it.

That's what I had in mind 9 years ago when I first started thinking about Pop UP Times. It quickly grew into a magazine before we published V1#1.

I probably will reintroduce PUT as a newsletter or a small tabloid with limited advertising, lots of how to articles and nothing but popup and campground stuff. Only available in our store as a PDF or by the single issue.

I'm working on the Best of Pop UP Times now. Should be ready by summer.

no more PUT??? Did I miss this? I only knew the magazine thru my neighbor, but was planning a subscription.....

Yes PUTs is done. The new magazine that will replace it is called RV Enthuses.

That's an exciting idea - the newsletter, because we just joined that game and now it's KAPUT already :(

I think a newsletter would be a great idea. Maybe people in here could contribute a story or two. Also we could print out the newsletter and take several copies with us camping and share them with fellow PUP'ers and maybe interest them in this site.

I agree, some type of publication for PU's such as a newletter or any format would be great! There are still PU fans so maybe a smaller publication can be succesful.

Hey Dave, is our message board changing names too? Seems a shame to change it since we are all so fond of it.
Just to get this off my chest....I think I understand why the changes are necessary for the magazine to live on and how the name, RV Enthusiast, covers a wider audience, but...the name is a little bland for my tastes. No pizzaz! I don't know, I guess I just hate changing a good thing sometimes. Still, I plan to stick with the magazine. I want to see how this turns out. Just don't forget the PU's for the "glory " of the fancier guys.

if I'm understanding correctly the new magazine RV enthusiasts is going to cover more types of rv's including PU's if one or more pages are decicated to PU's wouldn't that be pretty much the same as a newsletter??? My understanding was it is still going to talk about PU's but just not exclusively anymore.. a seperate newsletter seems like a lot of extra work, expense and paper. IMHO...
