Title: BAL Users
Post by: Billy Bob on Apr 12, 2006, 02:51 PM
For those with BAL levelers that need something to store it in, today I went to WalMart and bought a 22 gallon Sterilite tote that holds my BAL leveler quite nice. Lots of other room in there for my drill, extension cords etc............. COST $7 with tax.

Do you have a pic or an item # ? :D I'd love to have something (compact) to put all that stuff in. I'm pretty short on room in my TV and an organizer like that might be nice.

EXACTLY but it's a nice platice box measuring 18"W-24"L-17"H with the cover on. The BAL leveler fits in the tote on a angle leaving a LOT of room for other things that may be need BEFORE you pop up. I am planning on storing my heavy duty drill, 25 foot extension cord, 10 foot and 25 foot water hoses, water theif, blocks of wood to chock the tires, and my solar covers in the tote besides the BAL leveler and I'm sure there will still be room for other junk. :yikes:

Sorry no pic available at this time. :(

I may be missing something here, but one thing comes to mind.... doesn't the BAL get kind of greasy?  If it does, are you sure you want to put all that other gear in the same container?  I have seen the "pizza bags" advertised and thought that was a pretty good idea.

I am still a newbie and will probably start off with wood, but I have the BAL leveler on my wish list.  I thought this was an interesting thread and replied because I am curious about how greasy the BAL actually gets.

I made a wooden box for mine.  That way no grease gets on anything else.:)

I made a mount on the tongue of my camper for my Bal Leveler using PVC pipe coupling and pvc pipe for the "greasy" bolt to go into...pop a bungee cord on it and take off...

SkipP carries his on the back bumper of the PU ... pics here.

I still have the original box for mine.  Fits perfectly just inside the door.  I have no idea what I'm going to do when the box gives out.  I also have a piece of PVC pipe with a cap at both ends to store the 'greasy' bolt in ...  courtesy of SkipP. Pics here.

Gee thanks, Skip.  You're a handy camper to know.   :D
