What a wonderful time we had in the Keys! The weather was perfect - not too hot and there was a nice breeze off the ocean. There was 10 of us in 3 sites next to each other. What a party! The tunes were on, drinks were flowing and laughter was everywhere. The 7 mile bridge run was happening - lean, fast runners everywhere. I understand people come from around the world to run in this marathon. They closed the bridge for several hours so the race could start & finish. Imagine being in a car and having to wait cuz you didn't cross the bridge before they closed it.
My new Fleetwood Tucson pu is great for 2... it can sleep 4 with no problem. The AC works great and cooled off the pu quickly. I had it on the lowest setting and I turned it off for several hours cuz I was frozen! At bedtime we opened up all the zippers and slept with the breeze coming in... very nice indeed.
My Hyundai Santa Fe, 2.7 L engine FWD towed like a champ. Got about 23-24 mpg. I thought it might not be powerful enough, but it did just fine.
Overall, this was a great experience. Now I know why you all love your pup's so much... :D
Disregard that thumbs down icon...was supposed to be thumbs up! I guess I should quit standing on my head!!!
Congrats, glad the maiden voyage went well.
