Title: Screen Repair
Post by: Shelly on Apr 27, 2006, 10:46 PM
Does anyone have experience in repairing your screens?  I have a few small holes I would like to fix.  Also the stitching on one of my screen windows at the bottom has come out of the screen creating a great doorway for bugs.  If I try to pull the screen down and restitch I think the screen will just become too tight and tear again.  Anybody have any ideas?

Thanks Shelly

Shelly,
I have re-stitched our 'window' and it has held just fine. If you sew it while there is no tension on it, it should work well. Of course, if it is rotted, well you know what that means. :eyecrazy:

Like the previous post, I have sewn mine together with success. I also used a vinyl repair "glue" that dries clear to patch up smaller holes (and to make sure the stitching holds). So far so good!!
