birolWith an MSRP of 16,500 bare it better come with someone that hauls wood to my site where ever I camp. Not to mention the lack of window area. 3/8 pf insulation doesn t make up for not having windows, beside the new Starcraft line has the same box height with the BIG galley and room for a big fridge without flipping or folding the galley top at about 5 thousand less with more windows.

birolBirol, about 1/2 way down in the FAQ they list the price. Also they want $695 for a Carefree 10 foot awning in options. I can see this with an MSRP of 20 grand fully equipped.[:o]

birolJust to let everyone know. The owner of that company was a Apache owner and has designed his camper on the old apache style. But like you guys the price is way too much for me. I will stick with my (Elmo).

birolI went to the Palomino dealer which has the hard sided palomino featured on their web site for the third time. And they are closed !!!!!

I am seriously thinking that I would NEVER EVER buy anything from this dealership. If they are closed on a Saturday afternoon at 3 pm, when their operating hours are 9 am to 6 pm, how good will they be when somebody needs repairs .......

I will take pics of that Palomino if I see it at the show, otherwise I don;t know if this dealership is ever open ....

 birolBirol,

Thanks for the posting! Marc_cdn, from 2 boards ago, had an Apache & put up a link to a person who had refurbished one. I always wondered what really happenend to them. Maybe they were too far beyond their time.

For the colder weather climates, popup camping in the winter months is a downer. You can never have enough BTU s of heat. We ve looked at hard sided trailers & decided we like the 23 ft. Caravan and 2720SL Trailmanor. But, this Apache style trailer is lighter than both and comes with everything except AC. Add the AC and it s retail price is about the same as the Caravan or a used Trailmanor, but with a weight of only 2500#. The only windows missing are the ones on the side of the bunk-ends, but there are 2 bunkends compared to the norm of one. I wish, though, that there were some slideouts to give the inside additional room. But, we can t have everything.

Now we have something else to consider. [:o][;)][:(]

birolI realize the price is steep, but this might be close to ideal for a deer camp or remote ice fishing.  I wouldn t do that with a canvas sided pop-up.
