Title: 1st trip out...wet but wonderful!
Post by: Paiged1 on May 01, 2006, 10:27 AM
The rain managed to hold off until Saturday morning which was perfect. We had a hard time leveling the pup. Forgot to bring levelers with us! OOPS! We are going to have my dad teach us the art of leveling a camper! All that matters is that we stayed incredibly dry and cozy in the pup.

DH said that there were only 2 hours in which he wanted to kill me. During set up and take down (i'm a little OCD). By Sunday morning the canvas was dry and take down was a breeze.

We relaxed played dominos and watched movies. Just what we needed!

I do have a question though, does anyone have trouble with the sink hose kinking? I am thinking about shortening the hose. It looks like all of the hoses are too long and don't have much room to stand.

We wrote down a list of things needed to be fixed, worked on or purchased. Can't wait to head back out. We have a list of people who are ready to sign up to go with us next time!

Isn't it nice to be in a camper.  If you shorten the hoses make sure they are long enough to fold the galley over.:)

Ah we have a bit of OCD on the wifey side as well...and the hubby is exact opposite!  Leveling takes the hubby at least 20 minutes, I usually take a walk with the dog so as not to argue over it  ;) My OCD tip for the day - get a dog to walk! :D

We have yet to bring the dog with us. We have one who would do fine but the other one... well he's a 65lb. mut that is still has puppy ways. I hate to take one and leave the other.

The hardest part is that I grew up around campers and dad was ocd about ours (that's the only thing he was ocd on) and so I had to learn what to do and what worked early on. I guess you can say I'm set in my ways. This was Dh's first time in a camper.
