Title: New Rockwood
Post by: Nick on May 01, 2006, 01:57 PM
Well we picked up our new Rockwood HW256G a few weeks ago.  Took it out on our first trip and it was great.  A few things needed fixing but nothing enough to take it back to the dealer.  Just fixed it myself at the campground.  All in all I love this trailer and am very happy with it.

The highwalls are great.  I dont know why PU manufacturers did not do this long ago.  Its so nice not to have to fold over any counters and they are much higher to begin with.  Plus the convienance of the oven, microwave and bigger fridge.  I also love just having to flip a switch to light the hot water heater.  My favorite thing about it.... powered roof lift!

It sounds like a very nice camper.  Some day I may have a high wall camper too.:)

Congrats on the new camper! Hope you/yours have a lot of good memories with it.
What made you choose Rockwood over Flagstaff or any other brand? Just curious. I like to keep up on such things. :)

Well, we had been looking around at all the brands and were not considering a highwall because of the cost.  Then I came accross an add for the Rockwood at a price that was the same as low walls in other brands.  Decided to go look at it and loved it.  We had really never considered a Rockwood just happend to stummble upon it.

congratulations on the new pup.  Our 2516g is the sister to your 256hw.  The walls are higher than normal pups, but quite as high as yours.  If there were another Rockwood I would think about it would be your model.  I am not sure we could handle the weight of the 256hw, but it is nice.  Happy camping.
